Import trades from CSV and export your data for analysis, taxes, or backup.
Import & Export
TradeVision supports bulk import from CSV and export in multiple formats. Get your historical data in quickly and take your data out whenever you need it.
CSV Import
Import trades from any broker or spreadsheet:
- Go to Tools → Import/Export
- Click Import CSV
- Upload your CSV file or paste data
- Map columns – Match your CSV columns to TradeVision fields:
- Symbol, Side, Entry Date, Exit Date
- Entry Price, Exit Price, Quantity
- P&L, Fees
- Setup, Tags, Notes (optional)
- Preview the mapped data
- Select the account to import into
- Click Import
Supported Formats
- Standard CSV (comma-separated)
- Headers in first row
- Date formats:
YYYY-MM-DD,MM/DD/YYYY,DD/MM/YYYY
Column Mapping Tips
- Symbol – Ticker or instrument name
- Side – Long, Short, Buy, Sell
- Entry/Exit – Date and time, or date only
- P&L – Net profit/loss per trade
Export
Export Trades
- Go to Trading → Trade Log
- Apply filters (date range, symbol, setup) if needed
- Click Export → CSV
- Download your trade data
Export Formats
- CSV – For Excel, tax software, or custom analysis
- JSON – For developers or integrations
- PDF – For reports and sharing
What Gets Exported
- All trade fields (symbol, dates, prices, P&L, fees)
- Tags and notes
- Setup and playbook links
- Screenshots (as references)
Backup & Restore
Your data is stored securely. For additional backup:
- Export trades to CSV regularly
- Export dashboard configurations if needed
- Keep copies of important screenshots
Tax Reporting
Export trade data in formats suitable for tax preparation:
- Date range – Filter to tax year
- P&L summary – Gross and net by period
- Cost basis – For applicable instruments
